About us

The RSPCA Furness and Barrow Branch became a registered charity in 1966. In the years since then, our Branch has steadily grown to encompass the care of cats, rabbits and guinea pigs which are brought to us by the RSPCA Inspectorate.

Through a small group of dedicated volunteers, we work diligently to provide care for those animals that are most in need: the abandoned, abused, distressed and injured.

All money raised within the Branch area is spent locally to promote animal welfare on the Furness Peninsula. Like all separately registered branches of the RSPCA, we are largely self-funding and welcome donations to support our work.

We offer financial help towards neutering costs for households on benefits and low incomes.

Furness animals need our help! We can’t be there for them without yours.
