There is a process to follow and we have a number of steps in place before you are able to adopt an animal from Pawz.
You will need to read our Adoption Agreement and be sure you are prepared to follow what is expected of you as a responsible pet owner.
If you feel you would still like to go ahead, you would then need to fill out our Adoption Questionnaire
We feel it is our responsibility to make sure the animals in our care go to the best homes and care we can find them, if you can help us with our quest then we would love to hear from you.
There are a great number of ways which you can help us, no matter how much time you have to give or where your interest lies.
Fostering: We are always looking for new fosterers to join our dedicated team. If you can't commit years to an animal but have time to give and miss the company of animals then fostering could be right up your street. It's very rewarding, it also pulls at your heart strings and letting them go can be hard but having an animal ready to be rehomed and placed in the perfect home for them is a proud moment in a fosterer's life.
Volunteering: You can volunteer in a number of ways - at our shop, fostering animals, fund raising, offering to do some driving - the list goes on! If you have time and want to help then we'd love to hear from you. We do a number of events as well and if you have some hours to give or a special talent that you would like to volunteer on such occasions to help raise money and enjoy a great day out at the same time we'd like to hear from you too.
Donating: We cannot function without donations. As well as financial support, we need good quality second hand goods such as books, cd's, clothing and bric a brac are very welcome for the charity shop. Tinned food is in very short supply at the moment and we would love some tins or pouches and dried food. Other animal food is welcome too, birds, rabbits, anything goes. In addition to the above we can also make good use of animal bedding, decent equipment i.e. puppy pens, rabbit hutches (indoor and outdoor), cat carriers, etc.
All proceeds go back into the charity to fund ongoing work in rescuing and aiding animals that are in need of help.
Spreading the word: The more people who know about us the better - this leads to more awareness, more homes become available and in fact, the more people who are rescue centre aware, the less animals in need there will be. There are so many ways to do this, even simply logging on to our Facebook / Twitter pages and asking your friends to join. You can have a great impact by way of a couple of little clicks.
However and wherever you help - we thank you!
